Poor Mikaeel

I was very saddened to see this in the news...

A 3 year old boy - killed (reported missing by his mother who has now been charged with his murder...)

What does everything else think about this?

Did it upset you?

Do you feel anger towards the mother or perhaps you are more curious as to why this happened?

poor baby. As for mother we should be angry and many will be , but was there something behind it illness depression . we dont know whole story yet xxx

Yes so true Rivka.... I know a lot of people would be quick to think badly of the mother, but you're right we don't know the whole story just yet. By no means am I condoning her behaviour, if she is proven guilty that is, but I agree that there may be more to this tragic incident as there is with many of similar tragedies. Post natal depression is something which in its worst state can cause a mother to have hating even murderous thoughts towards their child... And if not treated the worst can happen. I'm not saying that Mikaeels mother had Post Natal Depression - maybe she did, maybe she didn't, but in general is there enough support for mothers with new born babies??

I agree there is more to this story. It have even been an accident and the mother paniced but what I feel sorry for are mikaeel's brothers and sisters as not only have they got to grief for the lose of their brother but the complicated emotions of coming to terms with what their mother did. I hope that they and the rest of the family get the support and help they will need over time. As this could have dramatic effects on their lifes later on
